My students are really excited about science this year! A subscription to My Big World will ignite their imaginations with new, fresh, age appropriate material twice a month! The chick life cycle tool will provide the perfect hands on visual as we hatch eggs.
My students come from very diverse backgrounds, but one thing they all have in common is excitement about learning!
Pre-K is their first experience with school and I want them to fall in love with how fun and exciting learning can be!
This year I have a class full of young scientists. They are so curious about the natural world around them. They are so interested in books and pictures! More students than ever are craving non-fiction reading material. These adorable young learners need some new literature!
My Project
With each student able to have their very own copy of a quality magazine that is focused on science, students will be able to learn at school as well as at home! I would love to explore the magazines as a class throughout the week and then let the students take them home to share what they have learned with their families. This will not only engage them in learning literacy, but provide a valuable home/school connection. It is also a great chance to get reading materials into homes that may not have many.
The chick life cycle kit is the perfect addition to our chick hatching unit! The children will get a real 3D representation of what is happening inside the egg each day. This will add enormous meaning to study.
All students deserve an exciting learning experience.
