My Students

Remember that smell of old books? Well, ours are so old that they not only smell they are in several pieces. This makes it very hard to use and teach basic concepts of Science.

We are from a Title 1 school in Texas.

My Science Scholars are the best! They are inquisitive about Science and enjoy learning. What they lack financially they truly make up for with their love of learning and their sweet hearts. They just need the tools to help them succeed.

My Project

Our biggest obstacle in Science is having the reading tools for our students to boost their knowledge and content fluency. Since our books are falling apart I choose to use as many trade books as I can. My students need science related books to use throughout the year to teach basic science concepts. Being able to have the books requested will allow my scholars to investigate science on their own during free choice reading as well as during lab learning.

I want my scholars to have the best foundation in learning of Science that they will carry with them as they further their education.

Without appropriate books, students will not attain this foundation. Please help us.
