This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach playful, loving Kindergarten learners. They are excited about school and are hard workers, but with any new learning comes anxiety and stress. Learning to read and write are one of the biggest stressors I see as a Kindergarten teacher.
Giving students hands-on manipulatives and strategies to read and write will help them become high achievers!
I have invested a lot of time and money into The Science of Reading. I am excited to incorporate these practices in my daily literacy instruction to help my students become strong, confident readers. I will be able to organize my activities so that it will be ready to pull for quick planning and preparation and my students will have materials necessary for small group time!
