My Project

I would like to purchase a Science of Reading year long bundle from Teachers Pay Teachers. This resource will guide the phonics instruction in our classroom. I have found an excellent product by a teacher creator named Sarah Paul.

My third graders are still recovering from the educational damage created by the 2020 Covid Pandemic.

These students missed much foundational phonics instruction due to quarantine, online schooling, and lack of direct and knowledgable teaching.

My goals for this project are to fill in the reading, spelling, and decoding gaps that we continue to see in our third grade students. I want to help my students understand the science of reading and then use those skills to continue building life long readers.
