Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and full of energy! Every day, they come to school eager to learn, create, and grow—despite the many challenges they face outside the classroom. Our school serves students from a high-poverty community, and many families are unable to provide basic school supplies. That’s why I’m asking for your help to give my students the tools they need to succeed.

A teachers ultimate goal is teaching students to be independent readers and writers to become independent motivated learners.

These materials will be used in small group everyday to help students internalize the phonics skill we are learning. Students will use the paddles to orthographically map out sight words and other words. Students will also use the play dough to build leters and words to help internalize the learning, They will use these tools both in small group with the teachers and when working with their peers.
