Science of Reading Is a Lot of Fun!

My Project

My students are working hard on closing their learning gaps day by day. They each have an individual need to keep their focus with fun specialized instruction that targets their needs. This is where the magic of the Science Of Reading swoops in to bridge that gap!

Students who enjoy educational-based activities and prefer hands-on manipulatives often comprehend the lesson better.

Since using SOR, my students have been flourishing. I have been creating fun leveled SOR centers to make their lessons sticky, thus building a solid foundation build upon. However, there are some materials that I am not able to create which I believe would not only enhance their SOR learning but would give them more variety in what fun activities they could choose to use at their centers. For example, giving students learning manipulatives such as the alphabet soup sorter would make phonics and spelling enjoyable and something they can't wait to use. My students will love to use these items during their SOR lessons to grow their brains!
