Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students have limited resources that align with our transition of a regular school to a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) academy. Having reading materials for our student within this focus would help them tremendously.
My students are always eager to learn new things.
They love both science and reading. Many have limited resources at home and having good resources at school such as the appropriate instructional material that they can be benefited with would be great.
My Project
With the materials that we need our students would be able to develop their own investigative questions and perform a variety of experiments in our science lab. Our students need literature that goes along with what they will be focusing on (Science) so they can relate what they read with the world around them. (Book titles represent grade level science standards from physical, life and earth science strands.)
Donations towards our project will greatly benefit our students.
It would be great for our students to incorporate what they read in their textbooks and class curriculum in a science laboratory and with your help they would be able to do exactly that.
