I commute a long way to work so I lose 2 hours a day. These supplies have improved my ability to plan efficiently. The best part is that I can bring the roll home when I need to so I do not lose any planning time. \r\n\r\nThe paper roll also allows me to use GLAD strategies which benefit the whole classroom but provides necessary scaffolds for English learners and for students with IEPs. These strategies are great but they provide a lot of planning and SOOO much paper. Without these contributions, I wouldn't be able to complete my long term planning at home and I wouldn't have the resources to apply all the strategies. \r\n\r\nAgain, our classroom greatly appreciates your contributions. Since receiving our wonderful gifts, we have had a huge social emotional shift in our classroom. With a calm corner that can help students actually calm down, refocus and join the class again has yielded amazing results.\r\n\r\nOffice referrals are down significantly! The last classroom referral I wrote was on October 1st. Since then students have been using our calm corner and the skills their learning during SEL time to curb their own behaviors and focus on their learning. This change has gone beyond anything I could have ever imagined and it would never be possible without your gracious donations.
