My Students
I teaching in a very urban community where my students care about social justice. This is especially important because they are constantly targeted. It’s amazing how much my students love science. They are so interested in the subject: forensics. We are constantly looking at cases or examples of crimes. They are always upset when our schools make it hard to access this information. They don’t think it does a victim justice to have to look at them in black and white.
My Project
I would love to be able to give my students colored materials. Looking at resources in black and white is boring and often not helpful. I know a printer like this can’t be used for mass production but it would be exponentially better. If they create projects, I wanted them to be showcased probably and exactly how they made them. Instead we get they stripped down version. They deserve to be given a space to share their artwork however they see fit. It’s important to when I want to show pictures or charts that are best viewed in color. Color printers are something we constantly ask for but do not get access to.
