My Project

Science can sometimes feel like a foreign language to students, especially when we talk about things we can’t easily see. My goal is to turn "invisible" concepts into tangible projects. Using the GoodyKing Arts and Crafts Kit, my students will become biological architects. They won't just label a diagram of a cell; they will build 3D models of plant and animal cells, using different textures and colors to represent organelles. This hands-on approach ensures that every learner—regardless of their reading level or background—can master cellular biology through creation.

When we move into our Thermal Energy unit, the classroom will quite literally light up!

We will use the Expo Neon Window Markers to turn our classroom windows and lab tables into interactive canvases. Students will track heat transfer in real-time, drawing glowing diagrams of conduction, convection, and radiation. There is a psychological "spark" that happens when students get to write on the windows with neon colors—it takes the fear out of physics and replaces it with pure engagement.

To make these high-energy labs work, we need a "home base" for our supplies. The Geetery Book Bins will be transformed into specialized "Lab Tubs." Each student group will have a dedicated, color-coded bin to house their 3D cell parts and thermal energy sensors. This level of organization reduces transition stress and gives my students a sense of ownership and pride in their workspace.
