My Students

GW elementary has a variety of cultures in students which all are willing to learn. We are on hill that oversees Daly City. We have amazing teachers that works together with families and students to achieve greatness. Unfortunately, we are considered a low income school so supplies are crucial for us. As teachers we do our best to provide as much as we can for our kids. We prefer not to ask much from parents since we know their current situation.

My Project

Every year our students get a chance to compete in the county's science fair. The participants include kindergarten to 5th grade. They first compete within our school site. The winners will go against other schools in the Jefferson Elementary district. If they win the district round they get a chance to compete in the San Mateo county. These boards will give all our students a chance to compete in the county. They will be able to gain confidence for being able to compete against other students and understand the value of working hard, organization, time management, team work and sportsmanship.
