Help me give my students science, technology, engineering, and math tools for hands-on discovery within our classroom and our environment.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Otero's classroom raised $256

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students create a unique dynamic within our classroom environment. Our classroom consists of 36-second graders that are eager to learn. We have students with ranging special needs and learning modalities. Despite their differences, each student thrives to achieve their best potential on a daily basis while receiving their instruction and daily services.
With the help of our community, my goal is to provide a hands-on learning environment that is going to encourage every student to be an active participant in their learning while instilling positive, age-appropriate, and developmentally appropriate social-emotional growth.
My Project
With these STEM tools, students will be able to have creative investigations within their classroom and outdoor environment that promote measuring, comparing, testing theories, and looking into detail. Students will be able to work in socially distant pairs to use their senses to inquire, investigate, and comprehend the big why of science? Students will be able to perform science experiments that encourage engagement and productivity while inviting all learners to document their findings on their lab sheets. What better way to understand life science than to actually be one with life science?
More than a third of students from low‑income households
