My Students

Kindergarten is a wonderful time for exploration and discovering the thrill of scientific inquiry. My students are curious, honest, and wonderfully authentic. Helping students explore the world we live in gives them solid foundations of scientific concepts and principles.

My young students love to listen to me read and are fully engaged in both fiction and non-fiction books.

Children learn about the world through multi-sensory exploration. Providing students with rich educational experiences disguised as play is part of the fun of teaching kindergarten!

My Project

Young children learn through play and exploration. Having access to books, materials, and projects will support my kindergartners as they develop skills to facilitate scientific inquiry.

Kindergartners explore three stands of science standards during their school year.

Each book, sensory product, and project I've requested will support students in discovering exciting elements of the world around them.

As students participate in multi-sensory activities, their capacity for scientific exploration and discovery will increase to sold understanding. For example, the book, "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind", will provide real-world application and demonstrate how inquiry can support creative solutions. After this introduction, students will have a deeper understanding of the importance of wind turbines when we collaboratively build the turbine STEM kit.

Providing activities that engage young learners in collaborative exploration will not only support their academic growth but will additionally support age-appropriate social interactions and team building experiences.
