My students are special, kind and more than deserving of resources that will enhance their education. I love how unique each student is and I love their love for learning! Some of the students I teach do not come from much which only makes me want to give them more resources and more interactive lessons that I can in our classroom!
I am teaching every student in my K-5 elementary school science every week.
I see each grade level every single day which is so wonderful! I am starting off teaching Kindergarteners the first bit of science they will know, meanwhile I am teaching 5th graders science that will prepare them for Middle School and FSA testing to come all in the same day. My job is very special to me, and as a first year teacher straight out of college I am reaching out as much as I can to support my classroom and my students with what they deserve!
My Project
I am a first year teacher starting in the middle of the school year. I am teaching Science to the WHOLE school! How exciting! This means I am in need of science books for all grade levels.
I want to incorporate independent reading time for my students with fun, exciting science books!
One of the centers I want to incorporate is independent reading. I have included lots of different leveled non-fiction readers on my donors choose. I want to provide my students with a classroom library that will fit ALL of their needs!
The students at my school nearly all come from low-income households. This means when they go home they may not have access to new books with bright pictures and interesting facts. I want my students to be able to learn the most they can and have all of the resources they need while they are at school.
