My Project

My classroom is set in an outlying Native Alaskan school. Research has shown that my students thrive on place-based education and hands-on learning, so I try to incorporate the natural environment as much as possible in our lessons.

Our little school of seventy students is located within walking distance of ocean, estuary, river, forest and bog environments.

We need basic supplies such as file folders and Kleenex, for our students to feel ready to learn and take care of their needs when they are sick. These supplies will give a boost to our learning program, making access to materials worry free.
