Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my class are curious, energetic, voracious readers. They love to learn about how things work, why natural phenomena occur, they love to create and explore. They can weave joy, innocence, and wisdom into their work. Every day they make me laugh and teach me something new. Their energy and kindness are humbling. It is an honor and privilege to be in their presence.
The students love technology and embrace all of the potentials that it has to further their education.
The students in the class are 80% low income classified.
My Project
These materials will help the students use technology through the use of tablets and digital resources such as TIME for Kids magazine. The students will learn about the impacts their actions have and ways they can help contribute to the community to improve our society.
The students love to be involved and learn about what affects them and their future, with tablets, digital resources and reading materials they can relate to, the students will be on the road to success.
In order to help create tomorrows leaders, we must give them the tools they need to make informed decisions.
Print and digital books and magazines are needed to enrich the education of the students to prepare them for their bright futures.
