My Project

The Automotive Workshop course aims to equip students with fundamental automotive knowledge and practical skills. The requested funds will be instrumental in acquiring the materials to enhance the learning experience of this course.

The specific items requested, such as tools, safety gear, towels, and cleaning supplies, are vital for hands-on learning, fostering a deeper understanding of engine function and car systems.

Safety is paramount in our workshop, and the requested funds will provide gloves, goggles, and wheel chocks, instilling a sense of responsibility in their approach to automotive maintenance.

The tool set, which includes pliers, screwdrivers, allen keys, wrenches, sockets, bits, tape measure, utility blade, hammer, and wire stripper, will be used extensively in practical exercises. Students will engage directly with the mechanics of a vehicle, dismantling and reassembling components to gain a comprehensive understanding of engine function. These tools will not only enhance their technical skills, but, also promote problem-solving and critical thinking as they troubleshoot and address issues in a controlled and supervised environment.

Cleaning and detailing supplies will elevate the workshop experience, instilling a sense of pride and respect for their possessions, translating into a broader understanding of responsibility.

My goals for this project are to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience beyond the classroom, cultivating a mindset of lifelong independence, safety consciousness, and respect for tools and equipment.

What makes my students special is their diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives. They are eager to learn, ask insightful questions, and demonstrate a genuine passion for acquiring new skills. The Automotive Workshop will harness this enthusiasm, shaping them into responsible and knowledgeable individuals prepared for the challenges of the road and life beyond the classroom.
