School-Wide Advisory to support SEL

Help me give my students SEL and DEI text for our school-wide advisory experiences between our students. The students meet monthly and engage with staff to strengthen SEL skills. Kindness is my Superpower would be a school-wide book.

My Project

We are currently using an advisory framework to support our school-wide goals related to building a positive school culture and community. Our year long advisory provides students opportunities to meet with K-4 students and a different staff member monthly. We use these focused advisory times to teach SEL skills to support all students. This project would bring one common book to our school, Kindness is my Superpower, as well as a variety of texts and tools to support our diverse school community. Students enjoying participating in engaging lessons and demonstrating their skills within their PACK group, classroom and school community.
