Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In my middle school special education classroom, I utilize a variety of supplies to cater to the diverse needs of my students. Crayons are fantastic for those who benefit from tactile learning, allowing them to explore colors and textures hands-on. Markers come in handy for emphasizing key points visually, aiding students with visual processing difficulties. Colored pencils offer a blend of precision and creativity, supporting fine motor skill development while enabling detailed artwork and diagrams. Paint provides a wonderful avenue for self-expression and sensory exploration, encouraging students to engage with their artistic side in a tactile way. Pencils are versatile tools essential for writing, drawing, and sketching, facilitating literacy and numeracy activities while offering a familiar medium for note-taking and assignments.

These supplies collectively create an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where every student can thrive and express themselves comfortably.
