My Students
My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with the majority of my students receiving free or reduced lunch, and many in need of things like backpacks, shoes, and uniforms.
Yet every day these students come to school with a smile, ready to learn.
As a teacher, I try to provide them with all that I can, but I am reaching out for additional support! This is my second year teaching, therefore my classroom supplies are quite limited and I am not always able to meet the needs of my students. I am requesting additional supplies in hopes of encouraging them to become more engaged in learning!
My Project
These supplies will be used in a number of ways. During the week my students have a rotations packet to complete where they are required to go to different centers. The copy paper will go towards creating these checklists, as well as the staples. The sharpener is a must in any classroom, and since our current one is falling a part, this would be a necessity among the students.
The dry erase markers, erasers and whiteboard cleaner would be used in my small groups station.
These items are fantastic when working on vocabulary and spelling with students. It also saves paper which every teacher loves! These items would be used daily at the teacher's table.
Finally, tissues are a must as we head into spring. While we were provided with tissues at the beginning of the year, we have quickly gone through them. Tissues are a must in the classroom and would definitely be used by the students!
