This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello! I am a 5th grade teacher. Every year I work with amazing students; 30+ school day students and 90+ after school students. Throughout the day my students work in small, collaborative, hands on groups. The students also rotate through learning centers on a daily basis. Sadly, there is just not enough money in the school budget or my wallet to support the materials the students need. We have been hit again with another budget cut for this upcoming year.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to be organized and more efficient learners. It has been proven that the more organized a student is the better their chances at being successful in school. When students have the materials they need and they are organized, this allows them to focus more on their learning and less on the mess and what they don't have. Also, providing these materials for my students not only helps the families that have financial burdens, but it also helps our school that was face with budget cuts for the upcoming school year.

Families and the school will now be able to use their money toward something else that will benefit the students.
