Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my classroom spark joy in me and the people who support their learning. They are a high-energy classroom, full of bright, engaged minds. With a fully integrated classroom and a wide range of diverse interests and strengths, my students are wonderful at helping one another and at practicing resiliency when there are challenges.
Distance Learning hasn't been easy, but these kids have taken to the change like pros, using tools like Zoom, Google Classroom, and more to tackle this new world of learning.
I'm grateful every day to have them in my classroom, whether in person or online!
My Project
With the financial strain of the Covid-19 pandemic, I have created this project to give all of my students the supplies they need to have a successful school year. From notebooks to highlighters, parents spend quite a bit to make sure their students are successful. When parents can't provide, teachers make up the difference.
While we aren't sure what next year will look like, we know students still have the need for school supplies to ensure they can learn successfully.
These will make a huge difference to each of my students, and this project being funded will mean that they have science notebooks, math notebooks, homework notebooks, dry erase markers to practice math, pencil sharpeners to keep them sharp, and more. Thank you for your support!
