School Supplies for Remote Learning

Help me give my students basic school supplies of pencils, sharpeners, crayons, and other supplies to let their distance learning become hands-on, fun, and a meaningful experience.

My Students

My first grade students are struggling at home trying to keep up with their lessons and assignments, because of the coronavirus pandemic school shut down. My students left school on a Friday for the weekend, and they expected to return the following Monday. Of course all of their school supplies were in left in their desks.

Most of my students' parents are considered non-essential workers, and most of the businesses that they work at are closed until further notice from our governor.

My students live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Most of their parents work for hotels, casinos, and restaurants, which are all closed. Some parents are manicurists or hair stylists, and also work for businesses that are closed.

My Project

Currently my first grade students are working at home with no supplies. Their supplies are in their desks, which they cannot get to. Having the proper materials to use makes learning meaningful for them. My students are working on reading, math, writing, and science lessons remotely.

Making sure my students have the proper materials at home will motivate them to engage in their lessons.

The products that I selected will help my students, by giving them additional support to aid in their learning process.

Most of my students' parents are out of work right now. If this project is funded, it will save the parents the added expense of having to purchase these items. My students will also be able to share these items with other students who live in their households.
