This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach inner-city students who are very excited to learn.

Life is very challenging for my students and their families due to poverty and language limitations.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school darkly. Our school operates on a limited budget and funding is scarce!

All of my students deserve to have new and beautiful materials. They are eager to learn new concepts and my class will greatly benefit from any materials they are given.

My Project

During our small group lessons, the students are in need of dry erase markers and dry erasers. Students like to figure out their math problems on a dry erase board. When students have their own school supplies, it makes it easier for them to complete their school work. Students love to use these school supplies during their school days.

Students are in need of everyday school supplies in our classroom.

Students need essential tools like markers, erasers, and pencils to help with their learning process. Students take ownership of their work when they have the necessary school materials. All students should have the opportunity to use these class supplies in their own classroom. These materials will benefit students when they are learning about place values. Students can draw a place value chart with their dry erase markers and solve math problems. I would like students to be able to complete graphs and math problems on the chart paper.
