I have 24 boys and girls ages 9 and 10. We are a Title I school in a high poverty area. There is little funding for extra supplies and materials. It is important that these kids have the items they need in order to be successful. All kids deserve to have a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
My kids are hardworking and eager to learn.
Many of them have a hard time staying focused sitting in a desk and a chair. I now have the flexible seating option and I want to be able to provide them materials to use with flexible seating so they may have the freedom to move around the classroom. I feel that all children deserve to have access to the same great materials so they can be successful!
My Project
Clipboards, pencils, journals, glue, and markers will help students be successful in the classroom. I have chosen clip boards specifically to assist me with flexible seating so children can sit around the room to get their work done and have a surface to work on.
I have also chosen pencils, markers, erasers, and glue sticks to help those who do not have the extra funds to bring school supplies to school.
Many families do not have the money to buy school supplies that their children need for school. I want to take some of the burden off of these families by providing needed materials for each child to have access to.
