Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher at a public school in Arizona. My school is a Title I school where one hundred percent of students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.

My students come to school excited and ready to learn.

They work well together as a team and encourage each other to strive towards their goals. My classroom is filled with uniqueness and diversity.

As a teacher, I am committed to providing my students a quality education through relevant and meaningful lessons. Through differentiation, I make sure the needs of my students are met. In my classroom, students grow academically in addition to learning life skills and building confidence. My students are the reason I come to school every day.

My Project

Next school year, my team has decided to departmentalize. Departmentalizing means that I will teach math while my other two teammates will teach reading, writing, and science/social studies. Due to COVID-19 procedures, students will remain in their classroom, and teachers will switch classrooms.

Departmentalizing allows teachers to focus on perfecting lessons in one subject rather than multiple subjects.

My focus will be on 4th grade math.

Help me purchase school supplies for my 3 tiered utility cart as I transition from classroom to classroom. I need a three-hole punch, pens, pencils, scissors, stapler, post-it notes, tape, highlighters, expo markers, and paperclips. I will organize these materials in my cart so I can ensure I have everything I need when moving from classroom to classroom.
