This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher at BHES, what I love most about my students is the effort and excitement my students bring to learning. Teaching students is a challenging task that takes patience, but my students are always willing to take the risk and persevere through all assignments. Our daily classroom activities include stations, small groups, and a lot of independent work. In all the mentioned areas, my students ask questions, show bravery, and bring joy to learning daily. As we continue school year 21-22, getting to know my new kiddos' academic needs and their individual personalities will be a challenge that I am excited to conquer!
My Project
The requested items will make a difference in students' learning because they will be motivated to do their best throughout the school week. The items will be used for our school store to support the culture and climate of our school. Scholars will be able to earn a certain number of class dojo points or "scholar dollars" and "buy" items from our school store. Some of the items featured in the school store will help scholars stay focused in the classroom well. For example, the popular pop-it keychains give students a small fidget item to use during class when they're feeling anxious or excited. Our Eagle's school store will keep students motivated, engaged, and excited throughout the school week as they look forward to earning something from the school store! Thank you!
