My Students

What does it mean to be a SHHS Cheerleader? Regardless of our backgrounds, athletic experience, economic status and individual differences, our teammates are our family!

Our student-athletes are committed to their role of being strong spirit leaders by supporting the athletics and activities programs at our school, training and competing at the local and national level, dedication to academic excellence and building a proud tradition of pride in our community!

Behind the smiling faces you see on the sidelines, the heightening cost of the sport they love can be a major financial burden for their families.

While our school district provides a world-class education, it does not provide a budget to run our cheer program. The average annual cost per player to participate is high. If money is not a factor, our student-athletes are highly committed to our program for the entire four years while they attend SHHS. Our goal is to support every athlete, regardless of economic status or family background, to have the opportunity to participate and to build athletes who become strong, independent adults in their years beyond high school.

My Project

Having new and improved spirit props puts our team on a level playing field with other teams we compete against. Having resources to cover our competition entry fees will lessen the financial burden for our athletes, and provide an opportunity for a competitive season despite the many restrictions placed on school athletics this year. Our team is comprised of athletes grades 9-12 who are committed to excellence in the classroom, supporting their peers from the sideline, building school and community spirit, and are passionate about the sport of competitive cheerleading.
