Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school has a diverse population of students. The school spirit here is vivacious and well received. The students come from a mixture of socioeconomic backgrounds. This allows the students at our school to relate to many different walks of life and social groups.
The students at this school work hard and love school.
They are also very accepting of others and their differences. They want to come to school and be with their friends and make new ones. For many students, this is their first time every having school work taught to them from their home.
My Project
These tools will help me to provide quality virtual lessons and communication to my scholars as they learn from home during this uncertain time. I have been struggling to record lessons to make learning from home as accessible and as clear as possible for my scholars. With this tablet, I will be able to make organized and understandable instructional videos that my scholars will be able to follow along at home to continue their education.
Streaming live whiteboard work will help me to show in real-time how to use the videos to complete practice and projects online for my students.
The stylus will serve as my whiteboard marker to demonstrate accurate setup and computations of our work. Many of my scholars struggle to learn independently so I provide as much learning support as I can. These tools will make that learning even more impactful!
