This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How do we celebrate our excellent grades when we don't have options?
I am the luckiest Teacher on Earth, I have been given the opportunity to teach and foster the love of learning to a wonderful and amazing group of 6 year old children.
My students enjoy coming to school everyday because they love to be challenged with new learning experiences. They are eager learners who enjoy listening to stories with their friends. I love to teach new topics, which is great, because my students love to learn and discuss all the new things they are taught in class. Fortunately, for the students, they attend a Title 1 School that is located in the inner city of Chicago. This means all of my students qualify and receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
Everyday my students come to school and are eager to learn. They complete all of their work and earn every good grade they receive. Therefore, once a month they are rewarded with an afternoon of fun filled excitement play day, we call CHAMP DAY. My students are all champs so I would like to see a television and a DVD player in our classroom. We would not watch cartoons nor mindless movies. I would use the DVD to play adventurous and learning documentaries to connect learning between our curriculum. I would also use the DVD to show leap frog videos that are educational.
A television and a DVD would make our CHAMP days exciting.
My students are great children and they just want to learn as much as they possibly can. Any donation given towards this project would be for the good of education.
