Texas schools are closed for the remainder of the school year. This has left many students and families scrambling for supplies and activities to keep students engaged in learning activities at home. Many students do not have access to resources such as Playdoh, sidewalk chalk and writing utensils.
My Project
Our school closed in March and my kindergarten students have been participating in school at home for the past seven weeks. Trying to complete learning activities at home can be a challenge without supplies.
School at Home bags would give my students supplies to continue hands on learning during this pandemic.
I provide digital and paper copies of Reading and Language Art Choice Boards each week for my students. Paper copies are delivered to their homes. These bags would give supplies such as pencils, paper, sidewalk chalk and Playdoh so learning can continue for the rest of the school year and into summer.
