This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 2nd grade students love learning about social studies and science. By using the Scholastic magazines and Science Spin articles, students are able to take part in this experience by learning about relevant topics. The Scholastic magazine and Science Spin magazines give the students a hands-on experience by having a physical magazine to learn from. Students are also able to learn in this experience by digitally viewing the same magazine in a whole group setting.

We want to increase our knowledge and this is an exciting way to achieve this!

Students are able to learn about age-appropriate topics, as well as be exposed to literacy and nonfiction material. Students will be able to bring this magazine home and share it with a family member to express what they learned.
