When students are given choices, are fully comfortable, and have their needs met, they will learn and grown far above our expectations! Teaching my students to grow their minds and their hearts is the most important part of our classroom. My goal is to give students the tools to grow, learn, and play independently. And knowing themselves well enough to know what skills and tools they need to get there!
There are 22 amazing kindergarten students in my class, many of them come from bilingual households, all receive free lunch, and they work very hard to be their personal best!
There are also several students that require special education or speech therapy services. Our school serves Pre-K-5th grades, and has a strong technology focus. We work hard on teaching the whole child and including social, emotional, academic, arts, and technology education into the school.
It is so important to know about the world around us, even in Kindergarten! Please help our class have access to print magazines and interactive online materials that will enrich our understanding of the world.
We will use these Scholastic Magazines on a weekly basis to dive into learning about Science and Social Studies in child friendly print.
The interactive online materials allow for a deeper dive into the materials as well as an engaging way to get the students hooked into the information! The students will be able to take the magazines home each week to share their learning with their families! We are so excited to be able to read and grow this year.
