This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting Scholastic Classroom Magazines for my kindergarten students to utilize during their social studies and science time. Each student will get their own magazine to read along with the class. We will cover one magazine per week and complete activities, quizzes, and crafts to go along with each theme.

The magazines are at a kindergarten level with plenty of interesting topics to cover and incredibly colorful pictures.

My school does not currently have a specific social studies curriculum so this will save me plenty of time from searching the internet for topics and activities.

At the end of each week the students will be allowed to take their magazine home and keep it for extra practice.
