Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We work in the South Bronx in the Jane Addams Educational Complex. Our school is called New Visions for Charter High School Advanced Math and Science II.

Our scholars learn their strengths through structured academics and extracurricular activities driven by student interest and need.

AMS II scholars can experience a broad range of clubs, activities, and outside-of-classroom educational opportunities. We give our scholars a number of opportunities to present their work and a mini - projector and a iPad Pro will allow them access to some of same technology they will be expected to be familiar with in college.

Our clubs complement the AMS II academic experience. I am also one of the Model Un Advisers and this project will also allow me to use the mini-projector and iPad Pro to conduct meetings even when space is limited. All we will need is a wall and a positive mental attitude.

My Project

We need the Chromecast to communicate with the Smartboard, we need are going to using the plickers stock card to use with plickers.com. OUR GOAL IS TO INCREASE LOW AND HIGH TECH USE IN OUR CLASSROOM.

We want to add to that experience with Smart Response Clickers, but someone donated a system to us.

However, in order for it to communicate with our Smartboard, Chromebooks and iPad, we need the Google Chromecast. We are also requesting additional pencils for the iPads so scholars can work in groups and still be able to see their work projected on the board in real time.
