Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

oI am requesting the "Let's Find Out" magazine because it is so engaging, and is something they get to take home and share with their families. Last year I bought it for my students because a colleague showed me all the other resources that were available if you purchased the magazine with the digital format. This year, my students were so excited when I told them we were getting a new magazine each week and were super ready to join into a whole group "explore" experience.

Please help us, as the magazine provides building fundamental reading skills such as: phonics, concepts of print, sight words practice, phonemic awareness opportunities, and reading comprehension checks in a fun, engaging way; as well as exposing students to social studies and science through real-world photos and predictable text reading.

Each magazine addresses all things for the subject. Please consider this project. I think it has bridged what students are learning in the classroom to their families. My class is typically extremely diverse and this is an amazing resource that captures the interest of even the most reluctant learner.
