My Students

Kindergarten students love to see their pictures in class books and on bulletin boards. By making our books more personal, the children will become more interested in reading and writing.

We are a combined kindergarten classroom of 38 students with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests.

Some of our students came to kindergarten reading and some came struggling with knowing the letters and sounds. Currently, over 70% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch.

My Project

My students need a printer, printer ink, and photo paper to make classroom books and classroom projects throughout the year. With these resources you will provide our classroom with the opportunity to engage our students. Through the use of personalized books made on the printer and a variety of other classroom activities made with the resources, we will promote the skills necessary to become better readers and writers in kindergarten.

As second year kindergarten teachers, we have come to realize the importance of personalizing classroom books and projects to keep the students motivated to read and write.

Due to budget cuts and economic hardships our kindergarten class would benefit from your generosity.
