This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At our high school, we are fortunate to have an incredibly diverse student body. Our band students are incredibly driven young people who are working to become leaders and valuable members of our community through music.
We are working together to create a culture that values music education, and all that music can teach us.
We take our natural skills and talents and put them to work in our band program. We learn from each other and we teach others to love music.
My Project
These reeds, ligatures, and neck straps will prepare our saxophone students for the upcoming school year. Our current saxophone equipment is old and delapidated. We desparately need new neckstraps and ligatures so that our students can perform to the best of their abilities. The reeds that we are asking for will upgrade our saxophone students to reeds that will match the level of playing that they are at. We are continuing to improve our playing and musicianship and need the equipment that will support our continued growth. My students are hard working and motivated and they're ready for improved equipment to reward their accomplishments.
