My students are in a dual language program. They learn math, science, and social students in Chinese. They are with their Chinese teacher for half of the day and with me half of the day. We usually have between 55 and 60 students a year. There are 28 to 30 per class. We have very little time in English so need to make our time count!
My students love to learn and use technology.
By using technology in the classroom, they will develop a love of learning that is difficult to find in other ways.
My Project
A few years ago, our classroom was fortunate enough to get a grant through Donors Choose for seven iPad Minis. The problem is that after a few years of wear and tear, the cases are falling apart.
The iPad Minis in our classroom are a great resource.
We use these iPad Minis a great deal. The students are able to practice their spelling words, create and record narrative stories, practice our reading and our math. We do not want our iPad Minis to get broken.
In order to not bother other students, we need to have headphones to use with these iPad Minis. This will help the students using the iPad Minis to not distract others in the classroom. It is especially important when I am trying to work with small groups and they are trying to see what their classmates are doing on their iPads.
