My Students

I teach at a wonderful Title I elementary school in Northern California. My students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds and most receive free or reduced-price lunch. More than 50% of our students are English Language Learners.

These students are hardworking children who come to school excited about the daily lessons.

I would like these children to have every opportunity available that will improve their chances to succeed while understanding our daily lessons. Having all the supplies available to help the children learn their daily lessons is very important.

My Project

We need laminating pouches so we can preserve students' work. We can use them to make handouts and manipulatives stronger to last longer while being handled by students.

The children create some great artwork and it is great to be able to use these laminating pouches to protect their work.

When their work is laminated, it is protected by a plastic sheet on both sides. The children can handle their work without fear of the assignment getting ripped. The pouches also protect visual manipulatives that help the children understand various lessons. When they have pictures to pass around to look at and share with their classmates these visual manipulatives will not be ripped and can be used over again.
