Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach at a Title I School where almost 100% of the students are from socio-economically disadvantaged families. These students live in a very rural area and do not have access to many things related to hands-on learning about science. My goal for this project is to give them books and activities we can do together to help them learn more about how climate change affects the environment that we live in.

These books will help my students add non-fiction books to their learning experience and help them view other parts of the world than just the small pocket we live in.
