Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Project Save the butterflies, Save the Earth, is a project to help bring the outdoors inside to students with limited access to nature. Students will learn the life cycle of the butterfly, and its impact on the environment.

With this project, we can bring nature to them and allow them to learn first hand about the life cycle of a butterfly, and the importance for compassion towards insects, and the positive impact that insects have on the environment and the world.

Not only will this project take a deep dive into the life of butterflies, but also the life cycle and the specific vocabulary involved at each stage, as well as retelling and explaining the life cycle through enhancing their verbal skills through play. This project will also have some social emotional learning through butterfly yoga to make their time in school peaceful as a butterfly.
