Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This month our class is learning about the different habitats. Learning about habitats is important for children because it is a great way to introduce them to the environment around them and make them aware that certain animals need certain conditions to live.

However, there are many habitats that are endangered.Habitat degradation: pollution, invasive species, and disruption of ecosystem processes (such as changing the intensity of fires in an ecosystem) are some of the ways habitats can become so degraded, they no longer support native wildlife.

The past few months, my class has dived deep into learning about different habitats. Help my students by funding the project so they can create different habitats in our classroom. Currently, we are using recycled materials to create items for our classroom habitats.

However, we still need additional materials to create more art to show how each habitat is beautiful in its own right. I requested paper tissues, paper plates and clay. In addition, TPT gift cards purchase materials to supplement students' current lessons.

Students will be able to showcase their work for our school's Open House and help give awareness why it is important to protect the different habitats.
