Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a dedicated bunch of 4th graders who believe that education is their way to better their lives. All of these students are on a free breakfast, lunch and snack program. These children have a set "safe path" to walk on to get to and from school. They know that they will be out of harms’ way when they stay on this protected path. Imagine walking to school in that manner every day? Many of these kids have perfect attendance or close to it. They know that an enriched education will help advance their futures.
Keeping these school-children in a sanitized and healthy-clean environment continue a desire to be educated in all aspects of reading and literacy.
They should be able to go anywhere in the world because they will have a great education, and not have to settle.
My Project
First walking into the classroom with the scent of vanilla and apple spice, from the Air Wick plug-in, make for an inviting environment. Then knowing that their student desks are wiped down and disinfected regularly with Clorox Wipes makes for a sense of satisfaction.
Next, using a precisely sharpened pencil, from the Westcott pencil sharpener, while reading from a freshly cleaned white board, from the Expo cleaner, and the assignment written with bright Expo markers the students will record the daily tasks in their notebooks.
Then, as if timed in every child's head, it is time to use the facilities. Off to the bathroom.
Every student knows that the aroma of the room will be controlled with Urinal Cake anti-splash deodorizer, as well as when exiting they will prevent the spread of germs with the Mountain Falls Advanced Hand Sanitize. This product also prevents dry skin with aloe and vitamin E.
Finally back in the classroom, the noses of these children will be pampered with the Puff's lotion facial tissue. My students will want to come to school knowing that the basic necessities will be covered.
