Safety in the Theatre!

Help me give my students a table saw! They deserve safe tools for their set construction use! Our current table saw that our department inherited is missing pieces and lacks safety features.

My Students

I have been blessed with some of the best students out there! Students in my classes are able to experience all aspects of theatre including acting, directing, set carpentry, prop creation, and more. Theatre offers many of my students an escape from the stresses of life within an educational setting.

Through theatre involvement, my students develop a sense of community as well as confidence in themselves.

Each student who comes into the theatre program develops a new set of skills that they can take with them into whatever they pursue after high school. All of my students come into class with high expectations for themselves and the work they produce, and despite their lack of resources, they do their absolute best with what they have every time. My students have worked so hard on each show they've been involved in and many have developed a real love and appreciation for theatre as an art form!

My Project

This donation will change the quality of our productions for the better! My technical theatre students work so hard to create quality sets with the resources that they have. They also take a lot of pride in what they accomplish.

My students deserve to have tools and materials that can appropriately reflect the quality of their effort.

Unfortunately, our current table saw is second hand and poor quality. It is small, missing various pieces, and has no table support for large boards being cut. It does not have the safety features that a table saw should have within an educational environment. This new saw will make students feel more comfortable operating the equipment and help them get projects done at a quicker pace. Thank you so much for your donation!
