Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have amazing third graders which is a total blessing for our school. My students come from a Title I school where over 80% of the students are on free and reduced-price lunch, and for many of them, English is not their first language, Spanish is. Many of them have experienced having difficulty coming to school as a result of transportation or trauma experiences going on in their lives. However, many of them have the motivation to want to learn, but just like in the classroom, lack resources of getting additional educational experiences in and out of the classroom.

Our students reflect who we are as human beings and continuously inspire to be the best they can be.

They are motivated, encouraged, and amazing human beings. They are well-mannered with all staff around the school and their positive actions, interactions, and collaborations among their peers are continuously outstanding to watch, which is the reason we enjoy what we do. Our students want to be the best and are always ready to set goals and expectations high and achieve them.

My Project

My students' safety and well-being come first and cleanliness is everything! It is important for my students to keep our classroom clean and disinfected so that they can continue instruction in person. In-person instruction allows for us to keep our bonds and connections that we make here at school. My students will be able to keep wiping their desks and making sure their hands are clean to be able to continue the safety guidelines given by CDC. What a great blessing this would be this New Year! Thank you everyone so much!
