Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As you all know, children are full of natural curiosity. My scholars investigate, question, and process the wonders around them. We are especially riveted by meaningful and purposeful hands-on experiences. We love to explore.
We are always on the lookout for new experiences that might ignite a spark and inspire learning.
My students are able to hone their 21st century skills by analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating information and then using that knowledge to tackle challenges that give them the opportunity to collaborate, communicate and be creative.
My Project
It is time we updated our classroom safety supplies. We need new supplies to help us be more prepared in times of emergency in the classroom as well as when we are on the go. We need a complete and well stocked classroom first aid kit as well as a smaller one that can be used for various field trips. We need medicine storage boxes for the classroom, for the fridge, and for field trips in order to store student medications safely. We need instant cold packs that can be used in times of emergency.
My job is to teach- but the safety of my children is first priority.
These items will keep my students healthy by protecting medicines and allowing medicines to be safely transported during field trips. They will also keep us healthy by allowing us to provide first aid in the event of emergencies.
