Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my "teaching world" is always short something. The printer is always broken, out of ink or no paper around. The only way each desk gets cleaned is if we do it and my supplies are running out quickly.
The busier I can keep these student the less likely they are to get in trouble.
They love to help, so as long as I have something to give them to do they are typically focused. So, I have been trying to make some science hands on activity for us to do everyday in class. I did not realize how much mess and cleaning would occur from the lab experiments.
My Project
We are requesting safety gloves, cleaning supplies, safety signs and ink. My students will be able to use all the cleaning supplies to help keep our room and laboratory safe and clean. The ink will allow the students to be able to print resources in my room while working on virtual labs this will help keep them engaged and keep the project moving.
I always say small things make a big difference.
I think I am off to a right track so far. These items will make a difference and help my students. We need to stay healthy, so we need to fight the germs. If the students are out sick then they are missing classroom lessons.
