My Project

I established the guitar program at my school in 2017, and it has exploded ever since with 100+ students enrolled each year. With growth comes growing pains, and my classroom that was not designed to be a guitar classroom does not have a safe space for students to store their personal guitars they bring in.

As students take guitar for 1-2 years, they often want to purchase their own to use in class, but they do not have a locker or storage room to keep them in.

We have been using a small space behind my desk to store them but it gets crowded and becomes a safety hazard for myself, my students, and their guitars. These guitar racks will help provide a safe place for students to store their instruments while keeping them off the floor.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
