This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year I will be teaching high school (9-12) English Language Arts and SAT/ACT/ASVAB Test Prep courses and an SEL class. I usually teach 18-28 students, though the classroom capacity is 30. I will additionally be sponsoring and leading an after-school fitness club for students, faculty, and staff who are interested in increasing their fitness and health levels. My school is a Title I school meaning all students receive free and reduced lunch and breakfast. My students have a wide variety of interests and reading comprehension levels as well as writing levels. I try very hard to make sure I scaffold my instruction to meet the needs of all of my students. My goal is to make my classroom a thriving community for my students.
My Project
My students will love having a safe and comforting learning environment.
I try very hard to create a positive learning environment for my students, many come from stressful home situations and I want them to be comfortable in my classroom and feel safe.
The air filter ensures thier safety in the classroom and the light covers make it easier to learn and less stressful on the eyes. The bands help students with ADHD focus and stress balls help everyone, especially in these difficult times. Thank you so much for helping my students grow in the best learning environment they can possibly have.
